Elvish: will be translatedIt is a love story between Thranduil and my character, Elysia from 'Roar of Doves'. I couldn't resist doing a series of pictures for it because I enjoyed reading it so much!I'm basing them on classical paintings to give that 'authentic' look to a story with a fairy-tale/legend theme to it.
However, for this picture I could not find a painting suitable for what I wanted to convey.
So this one is an original!
The illustration is based on an event in the fourth chapter: TSATS, Chapter IVCHAPTER IV – The Mortal Queen

Thranduil was pleased to see Elrond making his way to him once the ceremony was over.

"Gwador!"

The two Elves embraced.

"I wish you all the happiness in the world," the dark-haired lord said as they pulled apart, smiling, "you deserve it."

"Thank you," Thranduil inclined his head a little, managing to extract himself from Elrond just enough so that a silver-haired flurry attacked him; he barely caught her on time.

"Celebrían!"

"Oh hush, ‘tis not like I am such a bother," she replied, kissing him on both cheeks and smiling as she cupped his face with both hands, "we are both happy for youWhere Thranduil and Elysia are married and finally escape for some alone time together on their wedding night.
