Description

This is the final picture in my year long series of OC heroines as fairytale characters.
This is my entry for December: the 12 Dancing Princesses featuring all my heroines of the year plus a new character.
From left to right (in order of creation):

Partene: my first ever OC, created when I was fifteen from a drawing that went wrong of a warrior elf and then created a character and then a world through a comic series.
She has now become one of my four heroines for my fantasy novel 'Roar of Doves.' She is now an escaped slave, daughter of an over-thrown king, now in hiding. Having escaped a slave camp after having been tortured for a year, she now seeks justice and revenge...

Lomaedia: she was created originally as an elven queen who married the captain of her fleet in secret. Now she has become Queen of the Dryads clans, after her mad father dies in mysterious circumstances. She falls for the King of the Merpeople Tribes and begins a forbidden romance with him whilst trying to help Partene's rebels.
She is the third heroine from 'Roar of Doves'.

Esmerelda: I created her when I was 18. Incredibly beautiful, spoilt and vain- she makes Scarlett O'Hara look like a saint! But she does have a vulnerable and loving side too.
She is now a heroine in my collaboration project with :iconsleyf: called 'Alverdale Tangle'.

Celeste: she was created soon after Esmerelda; a no-nonsense midwife who doesn't have much joy in her love life but finds happiness eventually. She runs an orphanage with her Uncle who is a vicar by day and a Robin Hood style highway man by night.
She now featuring in 'Alverdale Tangle.'

Imogen: was created when I was 19 and made quite a dramatic entrance- she arrived at a castle in the middle of a stormy night, a victim of rape and four months' pregnant. She finds love and happiness eventually. She's my sweetest and most innocent character.
She is also featuring in 'Alverdale Tangle.'

Azenaria: created for the same universe as Partene and Lomaedia, originally a winged woman from a race of 'Engels' who was captive on an elven pirate ship. She has since evolved into a prophetess who dreams of the future and longs to help Partene's people. She is imprisoned in the same camp as Partene and helps defend her against the guards' cruelty.
Partene eventually rescues her from the camp and brings her to safety. She is the fourth heroine in 'Roar of Doves.'

Elysia: created much later on for Partene's universe as a spy who falls in love with a pirate king. She then faded but resurfaced for 'Roar of Doves'. She spies for Partene's rebels and loses almost everything she holds dear- including the man she loves- to help restore peace to the country.
She possesses an incredible singing voice, which she uses to win allies amongst the Merpeople tribes. She is the second heroine of 'Roar of Doves.'

Hetta: my favourite heroine, created last year and the main character for my up-coming novel 'The Hat Trick Detective'. She is a brilliant, self-destructive private detective with a walking stick and an addiction to tea. She lives in a matriarchal society, where she fights for men's rights as well as fighting crime.
Her cases include missing jewels, train robberies, gruesome murders and ghosts etc.

Diana: this is another character from 'The Hat Trick Detective'. Diana is a police inspector who asks Hetta's help and advice in some of her grandest and most complex cases. She's an ice queen whose got a deadly aim with a gun and rapier and yet is very loyal and loving to her friends- even though she doesn't always show it.

Leonora: is a character from Hetta's final case from 'The Hat Trick Detective'. She's a virgin burlesque dancer (and spy) on the run from her dangerous husband and has a love of peacock feathers and a certain Scottish jewel thief who is anxious to marry her himself.
Leonora features in 'The Case of the Twelve Tales.'

Grianne: is Elysia's younger half-sister, twelve years her junior and Elysia is more of a mother than a sister figure to her. Her mother died a year after giving birth to her- although we never find out who her mother was as Grianne's story is mainly told through Elysia's eyes.

Edeva: my latest heroine, soon to be introduced in a spin-off from 'Roar of Doves' told over 500 years later. She is ruthless, ambitious, incredibly beautiful and vain. She was inspired by Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth Woodville.
